Kyle would be the first to admit that he was still a child at heart. He still enjoyed going out on his skateboard, despite the fact he was an 'adult' now. He would probably still be going down the the ramps with his board at the age of thirty, when he had children and crows feet next to his eyes...wait, that would just be gross. Kyle hoped immensely that he had grown out of skateboarding by that time, or else he thought he would either get drastic back problems, or his family would die with embarressment. He doubted his children would ever leave the house with him if he did so.
So here he was, making the most of the sun and his free day by getting out. His brown hair pushed up into a quiff, and wearing a colourful shirt, a pair of shorts and Supra sneakers; Kyle just looked like any other normal teenager. He was one, that's why. He still enjoyed doing childish things, but had take on responisblity for himself and become independant. It was a perfect age to be, in his mind.
Moving his foot against the concrete to push the skateboard and him forward again, Kyle jumped off and kicked the board up into his awaiting left hand, climbing up onto a ramp. It was busy here, filled with many boys like Kyle who just wanted some fun and an escape, so he had to wait for a moment until he would move across the ramp.
When he was ready, Kyle plummeted for seconds down the ramp before going up again, turning 180 degrees mid-air before his skateboard touched the ramp again, and Kyle repeated this until he had lost the momentum. He eventually stepped off the ramp, not looking where he was going and banging shoupders with someone.

Codie wasn’t sure exactly what she was doing, or where she was going, she just knew that she had to get out of her room and explore. Her wanderings took her down an unfamiliar path where she could only make out the sounds of wheels on pavement. She waited until she got around the corner where she saw the skate park. She had never really taken an interest skateboarding or the skater boys, they were never her style. Most were always considered slackers or drugies, never the popular kids, and she tried her best to always hang around the populars. While at college though, Codie was beginning to realize that popularity wasn’t always the key to everything, she had met some cool people that weren’t exactly popular, so she wanted to try and branch out a little. Deciding to check out the skaters, and what exactly they did, Codie sat down on a bench outside of the park and watched with enjoyment
The more she watched they way they went up and down, did all the flips and tricks, she couldn’t believe how similar to other things it was. Sure they used a board with wheels on it, but some of the tricks were similar to both cheerleading and dance. Cheer especially. If she just substituted a base for the board, the tricks were the same thing she did in the air when she was tossed. Watching some of the tricks gave her ideas for new tricks she could incorporate. She watched a young guy, more than likely a freshman like herself go up and down the ramp, she was amazed at his talent. When he finished his run and stepped off the ramp, she noticed he hadn’t been watching where he was going and bumped into a bigger guy who looked like he wanted to start something. Codie bit her lip, not wanting to see someone get hurt, so she did the only thing she knew how to do well, cheer. ”Whooooo! Wow! That was awesome! Great Job!” She pointed to the kid and smiled, hoping that the bigger guy would back off, or she took the attention away from him long enough for the boy to escape.
