Feet kicked on the bench and a few giggles could be hear amid the honking and quacking of the ducks and geese scattered around. They were gobbling up the bread that rained down, avoiding the girl that perched on the back of the bench, her feet planted on the seat to somewhat stabilize her position now. She settled in, sweeping her hair behind her and out of the way, a gesture that was unconscious and totally normal for her. Humming a nameless tune, she simply crumbled up the bread in her hands and tossed it to the honking birds.
She was relaxing today, a free day on the weekend and it was nice to finally get out and enjoy the sunshine, despite the copious amounts of rain the week before. The rain had put her in sort of a funk, simply not wanting to do anything or talk, a depressed state that was different from her normal depression. Admittedly, it had gotten more manageable over time, especially with Marcus around and some stability in her life. She knew that she wasn’t going to go back to her mother and that she could handle it, something that cheered her up a bit. However, she still had those nagging feelings, the doubts in her mind, ever present among everything else.
Shrugging her shoulders, Blake giggled and made a few kissy faces at the ducks, passing her time. She’d asked Marcus if he’d wanted to come to the park with her, but he’d been busy that morning, doing whatever guy stuff he needed to do, so she’d gone ahead and gone. Okay, well, she’d asked while he was still asleep. That had to count, right? Blake had ultimately left a note in the bathroom, taped to the mirror as to where she’d gone and telling him she didn’t know when she’d be home that night. It wasn’t unusual for her to be out all night just walking around, lost in her own world. It happened often enough with her that no one was surprised at her antics.
Blake huffed some, scrunching up her nose at the ducks again before sighing. She’d given them the entire loaf of bread and they were milling around, picking at the crumbs on the ground. “Sorry guys,” she murmured, voice soft but full of amusement. “No more today.”

'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know Marcus remember breifly that someone stirred him in his sleep but if he spoke back even well that was a different thing. He was a heavy sleeper and liked to sleep in whenever he could. He slept on and heard his dorm room door shut. When he woke again and properly this time he checked the clock on his alarm on his bedside table. It was something like 9:30 am so it wasn't too bad. He decided he would skip going for a run today as he was feeling a little too lazy. Instead he just jumped straight into the shower. Turning on the hot water he felt better instantly and it always woke him up. He didn't bother with washing his hair he had done that the day before and he was a guy, guys don't wash their hair all the time like girls did. He shrugged it off and exited the shower leaving steam in the air behind him.
As he got out the shower there was a note in the mirror however, something he hadn't noticed really when he was pretty much half asleep. He walked over and took the note from the mirror and gave it a read over whilst wrapping a towel around his bottom half. So Blake was out at the park feeding the ducks. How cute. He smiled at the thought of it and rolled his eyes slightly. Going back into their shared room he pulled out some jeans and a white top. He figured he would go out there with her and by now she would probably be running out of bread as well. He went into their little mini fridge and saw another loaf. They could buy some more later on. Grabbing the loaf and pushing his wet hair back he smiled. Putting on his converse and grabbing his black jacket he headed out the door locking it on the way out.
Once outside he figured he would walk to the park instead of getting on his bike and riding there. The loaf of bread probably looked stupid but in all honesty he just didn't care what people thought about him. Strolling down he figured putting his head phones in would be a good idea but changed his mind. Instead he whilsted slightly, a tune that he adored. His classical music coming through more strongly since he had met up once again with Blake, she definitely brought it out in him. He smiled as he reached the edge of the park and saw her crumbling pieces of bread and throwing out to the birds around her. She really was the cutest thing he could ever remember. He smiled as he approached her from behind, probably scaring her when she finally knew that he was there.
He placed the loaf of bread on her lap not meaning to shock her of his presence if he did. He smiled. "I thought you might be running out of bread by now so there you go. We can buy some more on the way back later on"
He said with a smile. He sat down on the nech and his arm went onto the back of the bench behind her not officially putting his arm around her. He sat back and crossed his ankles looking all relaxed, he had a knack for coming acorss as extremely casual, one of his many talents. He looked her over and saw she was in a good mood today something that he actually cherished. She had been rather down recently although she had tried to hide it from him he had been able to tell. Blake jumped when the bread appeared in her lap, mostly because she wasn't paying any attention. Blinking, she stared at Marucs for a moment and then smiled, leaning over and wrapping her arms around him in a hug. She couldn't help it, she'd grown used to having him in her life again and it made her happier than anything.
"I'm glad that you came. And I'm sorry I woke you up," she said softly, pulling away and blushing a bit, her shy stutter almost gone. It came up at odd moments, such as when she was sitting next to him now. She fiddled with the bag of bread for a moment before opening it and pulling out a few pieces of bread. Offering one to Marcus, she smiled.
"....do you want to feed them too?" She asked, suddenly a bit shy. She wasn't really certain why she had been having butterflies in her stomach lately.
Flushing a bit, she nibbled on her bottom lip before settling into the bench, not quite touching and leaving the bread on her lap. She reached in, pulling out a piece and began tearing it up, feeding it to the birds by her feet, smiling at them. She pushed a few strands of hair out of her face, tucking them behind her ear and leaving her face exposed for once, no longer hiding. She giggled a bit at the antics of the animals, feeding them more bread as they milled around.

'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know Marcus knew that it would have made her jump because she was paying so much attention to all the ducks that were at her feet but even still he couldn't help but smile. He hadn't technically meant to make her jump and it wasn't as though he hadn't made enough noise when coming he just knew that she hadn't been concentrated on what was happening around her. He smiled at her though when he sat down next to her and she seemed pretty content and happy. Even being bold enough to wrap her arms around him and give him a hug. He smiled as he breathed in her scent. He didn't mind and would do anything to keep her in that embrace but knew that public affection was rare for her so he normally just took what he could get. She really was the sweetest thing he had ever met.
When Blake spoke her sutter was practically gone. It was thankful for the fact that she was getting better and better around him. She had pulled away and a small blush creeping up into her fair skin. He smiled slightly and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, it was so long the small pieces always seemed to escape somehow. He nodded. "It's ok, I barely remember being woken up. I sleep like the dead. I found your note though so I figured I'd skip the run this morning and come and spend some time with you instead"
He said. Looking over at her she was so adorable and always brought out the best in him, how could she have been single all this time that he had been away? She offered him a piece of bread and he willingly took it, watching the ducks mill around the two of them. He nodded and smiled towards her. She had turned back into being just slightly shy towards him and he almost chuckled slightly. He didn't think about it though. "I would love to. What brought you out here anyway? I never knew that you liked to come here and feed the ducks especially as it makes you smile so much?" He said peering over at her slightly. She started ripping up her bread and he did the same chucking out little chunks towards the ducks around them. There were so many that had appeared it was slightly ridiculous if anything. Who knew that there were this many birds in Alpine Falls? It was kinda fun none the less and very relaxing, he could see why she enjoyed so much, it was something he would do with her whenever she wanted to. He heard a giggle and couldn't believe his ears. Seriously this kind of thing made her giggle like this. He finished off his slice of bread and left the rest to Blake, she would enjoy this much more and besides he could enjoy himself simply watching her. He leant back and crossed his arm behind her but not quite touching. "So what happened to a weekend being a sleep in day? He asked with a smile and a slight nudge to her shoulder as a joke. He loved joking around with her. A strand of hair caught in between his fingers and he started playing with it. It was easy to do and she probably didn't even feel it considering how much hair she had and it was only a small strand. She scrunched her nose up at him and pursed her lips, doing something before dissolving into giggles and feeding the ducks happily. They waddled around, and in all honesty, they were comical. They waddled and stuck their butts up in the air, making noises and in general just doing things that seemed awkward. However, on the water, they were quite fluid in their motions except for diving, then they just stuck their butts straight up. Blake enjoyed coming to the park and just sitting on her free days mostly because in her area that she often visited, here with the ducks, there weren’t a lot of people and it was down from the path, so people didn’t accidentally stumble on it. She’d always liked this spot, even when she was at home with her mother. It was a safe spot.
Smiling and humming to herself, she was happily nestled closer to Marcus as she fed the ducks the rest of the bread, taking and tossing the bread back in the trashcan near by. She hadn’t noticed him playing with her hair at all, seeing as the strands were so long and got caught on everything, she just paid it no mind before she rolled her eyes at his statements, standing in front of him with her hands on her hips, teasing him. “Since when have I ever slept in, Marky?” she asked, a laugh in her voice. “You can sleep in all you want, I didn’t make you come out here.”
She stuck her tongue out at him as she stood there, a smile on her lips before reaching one knee up to nudge his where he sat on the bench. “Then let’s go walking since you skipped your run, lazy bones,” she teased. “Need to make sure you’re getting your exercise.”

'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know Marcus should have known that she wouldn't answer his question or make a comment to his statement of being woken up. She had to be the most adorable person ever, even when she made funny faces because of the ducks waddling around. Seriously he could understand why it made her laugh so much, it was quite a relaxing experience that was for sure. He loved seeing Blake like this as well, when she was happy and feeling insecure about all the little things, well it made life just that much easier. Not to mention how it made all her features alight which most people didn't actually get to see with her. He sat back and enjoyed himself watching her, he doubted she even knew that he was watching her. He wished he had seen this side of her when they first met not that it made muh difference.
He thought about what it had been like when he first met her. Everything was different then wasn't it. He almost let out an audible sigh. She had probably thought of him as nothing more than a trouble maker. He was good at music and when he actually started listening to Blake with her lessons then he got good at being on the piano. He was taking music as his minor now but that didn't change an aweful lot though. If anything he was more stressed out now the he had ever been. Even still their first kiss was defintley something he could never forget, it was totally unexpected and it was something that had just come over him suddenly Then he had just kissed her mid sentance, he will always remember that she didn;t pull away, then he left and probably did some damage to her. Well never again.
He laughed slightly at her comment. So that was how she was going to play it was it? He shrugged his shoulders and then smiled. "Maybe you should try once in awhile, might do you some good"
He said with a slight smirk. Then she said that she never asked him to come out here. He raised his eyebrows. "You dídn't have to. You knew if you told me where you were I would come find you anyway so either way it worked in your advantage" he said with a slight smile. He sat back and ejoyed what he was doing. He watched as she slowly ran out of bread bit by bit until it was all gone. Poor ducks were still milling around the bench like crazy but there was nothing left to feed them, they would disperse eventually. Blake stood up and told him to go for a walk with her as he had missed his run. He smiled and leant forward as though he were about to stand up instead he grabbed Blake and pulled her down onto his lap and smiled. "We can walk in abit." He said with a smile. He wrapped an arm around her tiny waist to hold her where she was. Tilted her face down to him he reached up and pressed his lips to hers. It was a sweet kiss and pulled away after just a few seconds. It left him smiling though. He brushed her hair from her face and tucked it all behind her ear so he could see her properly. She was in a good mood and he knew he would be able to take advantage of it, even though that sounded pretty bad. His hand caressing her back slightly. Blake squeaked in response to him, startled by the sudden tug onto his lap. She flushed some them, but smiled, allowing him to do so. She wasn’t overly keen on public displays, but they were secluded enough that no one would show up accidentally. A flush stained her cheeks as Marcus drew her in for a kiss, something she happily responded to, pressing back against him. She rested her hands on his shoulders, shy suddenly and not quite sure what to do with them, so here seemed like the safest bet. Giggling softly as he brushed the strands out of her face, she peered up at him, ducking her head so she looked coyly at him through eyelashes, teeth nibbling on her bottom lip.
It was rare that she was in a mood such as this one, and she didn’t mind that he was taking advantage of it. Feeling suddenly bold, she reached forward again, kissing him on his lips once more before smiling and teasingly nibbling his bottom lip, unsure of what had just come over her but going along with it. She blinked a bit as she pulled back, scooting backwards on his lap and hopping off, looking very impish in that moment as she grabbed his hand and tugged, wanting him to come along and walk with her. “C’mon Marky,” she said softly, her voice dancing with excitement. “Let’s go for a walk, please?”
The little blonde danced with excitement, interlacing her fingers with his as she tugged gently on his hand, never applying too much pressure. She laughed a bit before scooting back over, giving him a pouty look before she stood in front of him, trying to see if this would work.

'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know Marcus laughed a little at her quiet squeak when he pulled her onto his lap. She was in a ahppy mood just like he was. He was finally getting his head into gear and everything in his life had finally started to come right. Even Blake looked as though she had started to accept their relationship as exclusive, he knew that was something that they should probably talk about today, to see if they were official. He knew that they were falling for each other, unless of course all of these feelings were one sided and then he would feel like a complete fool and not to mention probably heart broken and do nothing but listen to depressing music as he waited for Blake to come around. He shook off that mental imagine because it wasn't one he really wanted to dwell on, especially as he had his arms around Blake right then and there.
She didn't even try to pull away when they kissed which was always a good sign. If anything she just blushed and almost giggled, especially when he tucked her hair behind her ear. She was hiding from him today instead giving hm the full force of all her adorableness. She looked up at him through her eyelashes and it made him want to take her away and never come back to a place like this, if only he had the money. He smiled at her. "What is it about you Blake Kildal that drives me crazy?"
He said as he looked upon with something of wonder in his eyes. She definitely was something out of this world to him. Even when her exceedingly long blonde hair got in the way all the time, plus other things of course. He watched as she was the one who instigated the next small kiss and he was more than happy to comply with what she wanted. After all, he was pretty much helpless against her. She teasingly nibbled on his bottom lip which made him smile and tickle her side gently. He knew that too much could hurt her seeing as how skinny she was, instead he did just tickle her hoping to hear her little giggle like she did sometimes when she was in a particular good mood. Their first date had gone amazingly and he owed her another one. He would make one happen in a week or so time. He was still working at a garage to make some extra money, he needed to if he was going to continue on at college. He also needed to go and visit his parents but just hadn't plucked up the courage yet. His hand swere grabbed and she gave a little tug trying to get him to go for a walk with her. She always called him Marky when she wanted something, that he did know. He chuckled slightly and shook his head, especially when she pouted at him. Ï'm powerless, you win!" He said in a mock exhasperated voice and stood up and tugging her along with him. He kept her hand though and laced them together, he kissed her head and started walking around their slightly secluded area. This place really was to die for in all honesty, it was even more radiant because of Blake but she should already knew that he thought about her in that way, if she didn't then he was safe to call her blind with the way that he looked at her all of the time. As he walked he figured now was as good a time than ever to talk about the two of them. "Blake?" He asked her. They continued to walk because it was easier to go, the ducks weren't exactly following them but they were still milling around the area. "Do I get to start officially calling you my girlfriend now, or is there someone else I need to beat up to make sure your mine?" He said with a slight smile. The problem was, he would happily go against a whole bunch of people three times his size, as long as it meant that he could find some way of ensuring Blake was his girlfriend, someone he knew he could see himself spending the rest of his life with and starting a family of his own some day. Blake almost stopped walking at his words, the insistence of his hand pulling her along. She turned a scarlet color as he asked, and she simply nodded, biting her bottom lip. She was more than happy to be his girlfriend and nodded at him, ducking her head and kicking a few stones along the way. Blonde hair simply hid her face as she stared at the ground, quiet and silent as she walked with him, nodding and smiling, trying so hard to not express anything. She hummed a bit before squeezing his hand and smiling up at him.
“Yes,” she simply said, beaming up at him. She looked up at him and smiled then, leaning up to peck his cheek with a brilliant grin. She was so happy right now, nothing in the world could bring her down. She hummed a bit with him as she swung their hands, skipping a bit before hugging him. She hummed a few bars of a song, just notes that made no sense to it and she was making it up as she went. It was a uniquely her charm, something she always did. She had always liked Marcus, well always loved him, but kept silent about the whole thing. She chewed on her lower lip as she walked with him, a brilliant smile on her lips.
The park was nice, mostly empty and the ducks scattered away from them as they walked farther from the bench and she simply grinned as she twirled around. She loved to walk the park and did it constantly whenever she had time and now that she was with Marcus and everything was for real, she was as happy as she could be.

'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know Marcus knew that spending any small amount of time with Blake when she was in a good mood as was he and they were completely alone was a rareity. Something that he was going to take advantage of in every given second. He smiled at her and just the way she was looking so radiant made him want to take her into his arms and never let her go. He knew better than to hurt her ever again, he needed to show that he wasn't going anywhere and if he were, she would be coming with him. Even without her own consent she would be, he would drag her off himself. He smiled at that thought. Walking through the park like this was quite a magical feeling, it was interesting and fun and more than anything, it was beautiful. He looked down at her and knew that she was his world now.
When she practically stopped walking he looked down at her with slight concern on her face. Would she say no? If Blake rejected him then he knew that he would be destroyed forever. He watched as her face turned crimson at his words, just like they always did when things started to turn into more deep and meaningful conversations. She was always the shy one, it was one of those things that made her too cute. He watched her as she chewed over his words, whenever she bit her lip it practically drove him crazy. It was almost a torment to him but he knew how to keep himself under control. She said yes and practically beamed at him and he smiled. Letting go of her hand to wrap an arm around her shoulders. He hugged her to him whilst they were walking.
Glancing down at her he smiled. "You realise you've just made me the happiest person alive don't you?"
He said as he kicked a stone out of their path. The ducks were also still following them but he took no notice, they would bugger off soon enough and right now he wanted to focus all his attention on the girl at his side. The beauty of the park was nothing compared to Blake. He listened as she started humming. Why didn't she ever let anyone else hear her music? She could compose like no one he had ever met. He smiled as they walked around carefully. They were reaching the edge of the park now and wondered if they should turn around and head back to same way to stay in their own little bubble.
