Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise but I feel the bright eyes

Annabel is everything that a stereotypical Disney princess should be. She is sweet, quiet, intelligent, unassuming, bookish, and just waiting for some charming gentleman to sweep her off her feet. So wrapped up in her dreams of obtaining a PhD and the stories within her novels, she has not space in her mind to daydream about a potential prince or knight in shining armor.
Unlike a Disney princess, however, Annabel has her fair share of faults. Not only is she naive to a fault, but she is rather too harsh toward people who have made a bad impression on her. Forgiveness, if ever given, is grudging from Annabel. Willingly does she give her trust, but when it is lost, it is difficult to regain.

Although Annabel is quite sweet, it is unlikely she would have a great number of friends. Ladies such as she are often overlooked by the ton and passed over in favor of a more outgoing, shiny object. However, she is in need of a close, best friend to whom she can confide all her secrets and desires.
Again, due to her sweetness and relative anonymity, It is unlikely Annabel would have a great number of enemies. However, she is able to count two rather near to her as that. Her stepmother, Cordelia, and her daughter, Nathalie, are quite wicked, rude and condescending toward Annabel. Any person who acted toward her in such a manner would most likely earn her enmity.
Annabel is in need of her very own prince charming or white knight. Since she is practically a living, breathing Disney princess, she is in need of a romance to set off her very own fairy tale. The gentleman does not have to be perfect - he could be the very definition of a bad boy. The only necessary quality is his eventual, eternal devotion to Annabel Lee.
