Caliko had felt terrible for the way she had worried her friend the other night. In fact she felt that it was mostly her fault that he had decided to leave so quickly that night. After he had left her body had calmed and soothed out to it's regular calm demeaner which made her wonder if it might not have been the weed she'd been smoking, however she still couldn't be sure. Picking up her cellphone she looked at it eyes filled with a sadness she wasn't used to. Cali hadn't heard much from Kit after their meeting in the dorm the other night which made her wonder if he ever would want to talk to her again. They'd both admitted very big secrets to one another which had caused a nervous feeling in the room, however it hadn't caused a rift had it?
Sighing as she tossed her phone beside her on the bed Caliko stood pushing her fingers slowly through her hair. The morning after her confession Caliko had gone to a local hairstylist and died her hair black with baby blue tips almost as if insinuating her current mood. That seemed to be a practice for Caliko if she felt that her mood had switched just like a mood ring she would change the color of her hair. Many found her OCD odd or crazy, but that never seemed to bother the young goth too much she didn't mind if people saw her as an outcast for she knew she was one and was absolutely find with it.
Finally deciding she was done moping around the dorm after so many hours and had finished her homework right after classes Caliko put on a devilish smile pulling out a strapless black shirt and blue mini skirt. Slipping on her heart chocker and a pair of sneakers Caliko hopped out of the dorm room pulling her phone out once more before quickly typing in a quick message, "Hope you can make it to the club tonight... not sure why you won't talk to me... I'm going out cause some trouble on this innocent town? Want to Join?" She giggled as she sent the message and then slipped the phone back around her wrist where it hung from it's phone charm.
The club was thankfully not to far of a walk from the dorms so as she strolled down the street ignoring the whistles that had been directed at her. Men around these parts made her irritated they were all sex fiends and though she was a flirt she wasn't going to just give up nothing to just anyone. In fact she'd only had sex a couple of times in her life. Many would think that with the way she looked at her obsession with weed that is those who knew this thought she was a whore, however that was far from the truth. As it stood she'd only had sexual incounters with two of her best friends back in high school after that she'd never had sex again wanting to save that experience when she finally fell in love.
When she made it to the club she quickly flashed the bouncer a flirtatious smile and slid through the crowd of angry people who cursed and screamed at her. It was never to hard to get through to the front of the line. The bouncer's loved her more for her body and how she presented herself than anything. Entering into the strobe lighted madness Caliko felt her hips slowly starting to move with the beat as she moved her way to the bar and ordered a drink. She would wait and hope... hope that Kit would show up and hope he wouldn't abandon her. For some reason she had that fear even with how stupid it was she worried that her best friend would just vanish. Yes, she needed to tone down the weed or she certaintly was going to go mad.

”That’s a wrap. You guys can go.”
Kit glanced over at the director. They had finished for the day. He stepped away from the half naked female actress and pulled on a shirt. His phone had sadly been broken but that morning he had fixed it so went over to his bag and pulled it out, seeing a text. He said his goodbyes and exited the building as quickly as possible, pulling on his coat and slinging his bag over his shoulder.
He could not be able to read her text. It didn’t surprise him. He hadn’t seen Caliko in ages and he had a feeling she might be up to one of her wild ways again. He stepped into the street and hailed a taxi. It wouldn’t take long to get there. The taxi rushed along and within minutes the club was in sight. Paying, Kit got out and brushed himself off. He headed straight for the entrance, passing a load of people and snuck in.
He dropped his bag in the cloak room and went into the main room. So many people as always. He fought his way through the crowd, trying desperately to see if he could spot his friend. He felt bad that he hadn’t seen her but he a) had not had a phone and b) had been a bit shocked by her secret that she had told him. Not that it mattered now, a few days later.
He was slowly losing hope that he would find her when bam there she was. By the bar. He hurried towards it. ”Caliko. I’ll get you a drink.” he kissed her cheek in welcome and ordered them both a drink. ”Look, I need to apologise...” he jumped straight in. ”I haven’t had a phone...and I am sorry but I haven’t seen you around to tell you...” his brilliant brown eyes stared at her.

As she sat hoping for her friend to show up Cali looked at her phone a sigh escaping her lips as she took a sip of the coke she'd ordered. It wouldn't surprise her if he didn't show after all she had given him quite the shock. Cali had known Kit wasn't one for drugs, yet she could no longer lie to her friend, though again she was starting to wonder if it was even the weed that had made her react the way she had that night in fact she thought possibly... Quickly allowing those thoughts to exit her mind however Caliko looked again at her phone as someone sat down next to her. Getting ready to tell the person off Cali turned her head to see Kit sitting next to her.
He spoke that his phone had been broken for the past week and he'd been unable to tell her for he hadn't seen her around. Caliko had to admit that was the understatement of the year, but she knew she couldn't for it had been her fault too for she'd seen him, but when he hadn't come up to her she thought he was mad at her so she'd take off. As he ordered her a drink and kissed her cheek Cali felt her face heat up with embarrassment. A small giggle escaped her lips as wved at him as if he was saying something silly. Why was she acting like this around him? This was not normal for her to react to things like this no in fact she would normally pop off with some snide or silly remark, however this time she just smiled.
"It's alright..." She said as she looked him straight in the eyes her own closing as she spoke, "can't be helped that you didn't have your phone? What happened though to have it break? You weren't in a fight were you?" Cali worried that Kit with his shy nature much like her own would possibly end up getting into a fight, but why she worried so much was beyond her. She saw the worry in his eyes as if he too worried about her, but there was absolutely no reason for him to worry no in fact he should be happy to see her.
"So... how is work going?" She asked even though it was going into a touchy subject she would admit she hoped everything was going ok for him, "and school of course I hope your classes are going well." She wasn't sure all what she should talk about when she'd come here she expected to have a blast maybe even a party, but now it just seemed awkward. This was her best friend, yet she was feeling shyer than normal and just out right silly for her actions, again though she thought maybe this couldn't be helped. The cause of it though she was still to blind to see.

”It’s alright...” she didn’t sound convinced, he thought. ”can’t be helped that you didn’t have your phone? What happened though to have it break? You weren’t in a fight were you?” she always thought the worst.
”God no. God I wasn’t in a fight. What do you take me for?!” he laughed slightly. ”I dropped it too many times, and bang. Screen cracked, it just died and I couldn’t turn it on. I’ve been literally lost without it.” he took out a newer phone, ”Same sim card, and still have everyone’s numbers and I still have the same number so its all fine now.” he smiled and put it back in his pocket. It wasn’t that he felt awkward, just...something was different with Caliko. Maybe it was because of her telling him about the drug issue...yeah, that must be it.
”So...how is work going? And school of course I hope your classes are going well.”
”Work is alright, fine. And classes are going well...as well as classes can go I guess! How are things with you?” he asked. He didn’t want to talk about work to her. It was odd, he thought her so innocent compared to others – Madison for example. Even though she was his best friend, it just didn’t feel like a best friend topic...maybe he felt embarrassed.
He should also tell her about Sebastian.
He didn’t know what she thought. He had heard rumours she liked him, but that was a while back. He just wasn’t sure how she’d take it. Maybe he should wait.

”Work is alright, fine. And classes are going well...as well as classes can go I guess! How are things with you?” As he answered her question it seemed like he was trying to avoid any topics that dealt into work which made no sense to her. Yes, she had never had much experience in the area that he did, but that didn't mean she didn't understand the topic. Turning her head away from him annoyance apparent as she took a quick drink from her glass. Why did he always seemed to avoid things with her lately? When they had first met they were always talking never one word being missed between them now this? A new job and all of a sudden he was living a new life?! It almost felt to Caliko that he was trying to leave her behind or maybe just leave her in the dark about what was going on.
Turning back to look at Kit she couldn't help, but feel hurt maybe even jealousy at how he was starting to become. Why was she feeling like this though? In the past Caliko had thought Kit was cute maybe even hot, but that was as far as she had ever felt. Many throughout the school had liked to lay claim that she was crushing on her best friends a rumor she squashed quickly. What stupidity those girls had never being able to keep their mouths shut about things that didn't concern them, yet as she looked up at Kit Caliko began to wonder was she hiding something from herself that had always been there? No, wanting to slap herself at that moment Caliko told herself no there was no way she could be developing feelings for Kit? He was her best friend nothing more nothing less. After a few moments of internal struggle Caliko finally pulled herself back into the present.
"Life's been alright some classes are still kicking me, but their getting easier as the days go on..." she said her eyes easily scanning the crowd just to keep her eyes off of Kit. Caliko knew there was no way could be developing feelings for her friend, yet was it more that she couldn't admit that they were already there? No, it would never happen and would never be the case. Carefully grasping for her drink as she continued to search the crowd Caliko knew that if she didn't get her mind off of this soon she was going to need a blunt so taking another quick swig Cali put the glass down and gingerly took Kit's hand pulling him slowly to the dance floor.
As she moved her hips slowly trying to put herself in the mood things finally started to slip into the correct gear and she calmed down. Smiling carefully Cali tilted her head up at Kit knowing she would be alright things would pass just as they always had or so she thought until she tripped on her own shoe and tumbled straight into Kit embarrassment clear on her face as she quickly pulled away dusting off her shirt as she did so, "I'm so sorry I..." she then turned away from Kit again not knowing what she was thinking or even what she was saying. Demanding her brain and heart to tone down as she tried to pull herself together Cali looked at the ground her back turned to Kit as she continued to curse herself and her stupidity.

He didn’t know how he felt, realistically he knew that he should not be like this to Caliko. She was his friend and his bluntness attitude and not telling her anything must really annoy her and anger her. But he was too worried at what she might say if he told her about Sebastian… She was staring at him, and he looked back at her, wondering what she was thinking. If only he could read her thoughts like that vampire, Edward, from the Twilight books could do. Not that he read them, god no.
”Life’s been alright some classes are still kicking me but their getting easier as the days go o…” he smiled at this, knowing she found the classes a struggle a bit. He took a swig of his drink and watched her, she had turned away from him, as if not wanting to look at him. He didn’t know what to think…Suddenly he was being led to the dance floor, he held her hand tight, wondering what she was about to do.
Well dance obviously.
He moved gently against her, feeling the music. He smiled down at her. He liked her as a friend, always as a friend and not anything else. He realised pretty quickly that he was bisexual when he had spent that evening with Sebastian. The two had grown close and they would most likely announce their partnership in the next week or so. They had kept it hidden. The thing Kit was worried about was if Sebastian did go off with someone else. Then he would be stuck, like a lost puppy, and he’d run to Caliko for support if he could.
She tripped suddenly, tumbling into him and his reflexes were good enough that he caught her quickly. She was embarrassed – poor love – obviously, as she pushed herself upwards and straight. ”Are you alright?” he asked, worry clear on his face. ”Caliko?” he let her go as she turned away from him. He didn’t know what to do, he felt a bit lost.
”Come…” he took her hand, putting an arm around her as he led her over to the sofas in the corner. ”Come, and sit.” he pushed her gently down on to one and sat opposite her. ”Now, are you going to tell me what is on your mind? I can see that something is troubling you.”
