Jackson was named by her father, who though his first child was going to be a boy. He named her Jackson despite her obvious gender, thinking that it would give her a unique way to stand out. She definitely stood out in school. Starting in first grade she was picked on because of her name. Teachers got confused when they said roll call and saw her instead of what they expected, which was a boy. When she turned seven, Jackson and her mother were in a large car accident. Jackson made it through with a few broken ribs, broken arm, and got some stitches. Her mother however, did not make it to the hospital. She had taken most of the impact in the crash.
As Jackson grew older and more like her mother, the more her father began avoiding his children. This meant staying later at work, finding new girlfriends every month and coming up with excuses to go out of the country itself. When Jackie turned sixteen, she blew up on her father when he called , saying that he wouldn't be home. The end of the argument ended in Jackie being told to get out of his house and to not come back. So Jackson left without turning back.
A week later she found a job. It was at a designing company as an assistant. Basically, she went running around the place getting coffee, tea, food, and filled the printer when needed. That was where she met Miles. After only a few days, the fashion intern and Jackie became close friends. When Jackson told Miles about her living situation, he invited her to live with him until she finished school. Just as luck would have it, he had just enough room for her to move on the couch.
It wasn't until Jackie's senior year of high school that she learned about her love of theater and singing. She just simply tried out for the school musical and ended up getting one of the lead parts. Now that's what she's majoring in.

Jesse walked along the lawns of the campus. It was a quiet day, of all days for it to be quiet, the day she didn't want to take her medication. Yes, it was one of those days actually. She played with her hands, trying to fight the urge of running. She didn't want to run, even though it was a way to help the ADHD from building up. Jesse went and sat down on the lawn, getting a textbook from her bag. Physics. She groaned. Of all subjects to have this year. She hated science, she was horrible at it. She opened the book, trying to make sense of all the figures.
Three minutes had passed. The book was slammed shut. Jesse shut her eyes in frustration. She gave a small growl of annoyance as she stared at the book. "Why do you have to be so hard to understand?" she scolded the book, her eyebrows furrowing together. Why did she have to take it? It wasn't like she would need it for art school. She sighed, she should've just taken the medication, but she didn't want to. She hated feeling different.

She remembered middle school, where just for being different made her an outcast. She also knew that a few people, maybe even everyone that knew her could guess in a second that she had ADHD, or something like it anyway. Besides, her pills were all the way across campus. She didn't want to walk all the way over there after just walking to her spot.
