"Piper, please?" Dean Starr said into his phone as he sat on the couch of his parents' house in Savannah Georgia. The sprawling colonial style family house had plenty of space and was decorated just as anyone would think an artist would decorate it, completely randomly. "Pretty please Pieface? Help me out? She won't go on a date with me no matter how many times I ask!"
"Dean, really now? Maybe if you weren't such a dork you'd be able to get a date" Piper said through the phone. "Ehhh, ya'll are cute, I'll see what I can do.
"Maybe you can break your car or something and I can go down there to fix it or something?" Dean suggested.
"Too late, my car's already broken..." Wait a second, that was an idea! Piper could feel her little plot brewing in her mind. "Where are Mom and Dad anyways?" she asked.
"New York for the rest of the month, some big gallery tour thingy that Mom has, they took a whole bunch of the paintings and stuff with them."
"Whatever Dean, I'll call you back later. Book a show for me whydontcha? I'll let you know when I can be around there." Piper said. Dean could imagine her eyes rolling even from that distance.
Piper on the other hand had a little plan brewing in her pretty little redhaired head. She whipped out her phone and quickly found Azi's number and left a text. "Heyyy Azi! So I my car isn't running really well... how do you feel about a road trip to Savannah? Dean's booking a show for me and you seem like you could use a vacation! You can even bring the dogs :) Lots to climb :) Pretty please? I'll love you forever XOXOXO"

Azi groaned some, looking at her phone as it hadn’t stopped beeping. She’d been in the gym climbing, preparing to go out and teach a few lessons as well, mostly because she had some extra time and wanted some extra cash as well. She sighed and chewed on her lip, walking out of the gym as she tossed a cigarette into her mouth, catching it before lighting it on fire with her lighter, simply taking her time and think about it. Did she really wanna go to Savannah? She’d never been before and since she was an adult, she could make her own decisions. In all honesty, she thought that it had been Dean texting her again, asking for a date. He’d asked her several times and Azi had always refused, citing some reason or another to not go. Azi sighed and simply shrugged, knowing that she’d promised to help the girl out with whatever problems she’d needed and instead flicked out ash before she went and responded with another text. Yeah sure. When did you need to leave? [/b] Azi wasn’t always one to go and jump up when someone offered an excuse to skip town. She’d probably leave her dogs in the care of someone else that she knew and trusted to take care of them, they were more than a handful on their own so she wasn’t about to go and bring them to someone else’s house until she knew exactly what she was getting into. Plus it meant less stopping over all. Azi was one of those girls that never needed to have an advanced notice and then pack four suitcases, her stuff all fit into one duffel bag and the big gear box in her truck held spare climbing and camping gear. She’d bring a spare bag of her favorite things but that was that. She tossed her hair over her shoulder as she stubbed out the cigarette and stood up, stretching her arms over her head. She sighed as she walked back into the gym, stripping off her equipment and her tank top, revealing the sports bra she always wore, planning on cooling down with some bouldering and simple exercises while she waited for a response.

Piper smiled as she read the text "ASAP would be lovely, I'm packing now, You're the best! " she texted back. Then she flipped to another screen on her phone and dialed Dean, "Hey so I'm coming to visit, how soon can you book me a show?" "When?" Dean's voice came over the phone. The redhead then proceeded to dash up the stairs, throw some food and toys into the cat carrier, and fish a suitcase out of the closet. Then again, she had clothes and stuff back in Savannah, better safe than sorry anyways right? Plus, Azi had a truck right? "Don't know, soon enough I hope!" Piper said

Azi groaned as she read the text message, sighing and waving to the owner of the gym before telling him what had come up. Book her off for the next week, just in case, because she had a hunch this was going to take forever. And sighed and shook her hair out before replying back that she’d be home and showered and then come get her. Azi simply rolled her eyes as she drove home, smoking and with windows down. Hopefully Piper realized that ASAP meant that Azi was going to shower, throw clothes in a duffel and that was that.
The long haired woman sighed as she got home, ran a fast shower and washed out her hair, neglecting to pull it into a braid now, instead letting it swirl as it was still wet. She made a call to her friend who was more than happy to come and watch the dogs for a week, well he’d take them to his place. He had more room there and was happy to watch them with the help of his roommate. Azi sighed and gave her dogs kisses and treats and told them she’d be back soon enough before throwing her duffel and bag of extra climbing gear in the bed of her truck, securing it with a few bungee cords and grabbing a cover for it and tying that down too. No need to be unprepared in the event of rain.
Azi sighed and made sure she had her CDs, music, sunglasses, and wallet as well as her phone before she waited for Noah to arrive, thanking him for watching the dogs and telling him to call her and giving him a description of where she was going. Noah laughed and wished her luck before Azi backed up and drove the short distance to Pie’s house, knocking on the door as she waited outside, twirling her keys in hand. “Hurry up short stuff,” she called.

Piper was was standing on a chair trying to coax a bristling Charlie off the top of the refrigerator and into a cat carrier when Azi arrived. "Come in! It's unlocked!" She called as she tried again to grab the kitten. HISS came Charlie who swiped at her. He was never an aggressive cat, but the idea of being locked up in that contraption didn't suit his fancy at all. "C'mon Charlie! Cooperate with me won't you baby?" she cooed to the kitten who glared at her and refused to get any closer to those hands.
"I even packed light this time!" She called proudly. She packed what she considered to be quite light, just two suitcases, three guitars, and a duffle bag of cat stuff.

Azi rolled her eyes at the scene before her as she opened up the door and snickered. It was amusing, watching the shorter girl try and coax the cat off the fridge before Azi sighed, stepping in. She wanted to get this show on the road and by the looks of Pie’s stuff, it was a smart choice to not bring her dogs. Reaching a long, tanned arm up, Azi simply grabbed the kitten by the scruff of his neck with a glare that would freeze running water. It clearly communicated that she was not going to tolerate this tomfoolery and one that clearly showed Charlie she didn’t play around like Pie did. Placing the cat in the carrier gently, Azi shut the door and gave Piper a triumphant look.
“So one problem solved, and you take him and get in the cab and I’ll secure your crap. What’re you doing, moving back?” she teased at the amount of stuff there. It was quick, Azi securing all of Pie’s stuff in the back and making sure the guitars wouldn’t get damaged as they drove. She sighed before double checking everything, looking briefly at a map and figuring out the best way to get to Savannah. Once they were in Georgia, Azi planned on letting Piper direct her, or at the worst, having Piper call Dean for directions if it turned out the girl couldn’t find her way out of a wet paper bag. And so off they went to get this adventure started.
*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*TIME SKIP*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Three fights at five different truck stops later, Azi and Pie finally made it to the city. The taller woman was short on patience and nursing a headache and a puffed up lip where she’d hit a guy who’d been dumb enough to try and grab her. Pie was definitely not allowed to pick where they stopped anymore and all Azi wanted to do was drop Pie off and grab a hotel room and sleep. And maybe a few packs of beer, but who knew what she’d be doing. As it was, she had a lit cigarette held to her lips, letting it flick out the window. She had her music on, heavy metal scream that probably drove Pie nuts, but at least she was kind enough to put it on her iPod and have it playing in one ear.
She sighed as she finally followed the directions and pulled up in front of the house, arching an eyebrow as the massive sprawl in front of her before sighing and putting the truck in park on the street, definitely not comfortable enough to park in the driveway. She turned the truck off and let it sit in the ticking silence for a moment before she dug out her baseball cap and slid it onto her head, tucking the braid down the back of her shirt as she always did, so it wouldn’t get in her way. It was a brief moment before she opened her door of the truck and stepped down easily, heading around the back to unfasten the tarp and get out Piper’s gear.

Dean heard the rumble of something in the driveway, def louder than Piper's SUV. He looked out the window and saw a big black truck. Somehow, it looked different without the dogs. His eyes widened as he realized what was happening. After a long pleading phone call with Piper saying that he had to be a big boy and find a girl by himself, the little redhead had finally decided to help him. Now why didn't she tell him she was coming so soon?
He dashed to the bathroom and ran a comb through his hair and spritzed on a bit of cologne, slightly furious at Piper for not telling him anything, but thankful for her at the same time. The dogs started barking, Piper was unlocking the door, he forgot she still had the key to the family house.
"Hey doggies! Piper said as she pushed open the door, getting the cat carrier through too before the furry dogs tried to pile on top of her. "Hold on guys, let me through!" She laughed as she pushed through the pile of furry bodies. "Dean! Guess who's home!" She called, her voice echoing through the house with the excited barks.
"Yeahhhh no kidding, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?" Dean exclaimed, more out of horror and definitely not out of anger. "I wanted to surprise you, duhhhh," Piper said as she put down the cat carrier and opened it. "How about you help unload the bags?"
Charlie's fur was already bristling from the smell of dogs and the loud barking, he had backed up to the very back of the carrier, hissing at the dogs. When the curious fluffy whoodle, Scotch, stuck his nose into the carrier he instantly backed out with a yelp and sore nose. Charlie wasn't going anywhere.
"Come on kiddos!' Dean called as he headed out the door, the dogs stampeding behind him, with the old Irish setter Rusty loping behind. The smell of a new person had the dogs running over with lots of licks. "Hey Azi, I'll get the bags, come in for a drink, Pie's getting the guest room together, it would be ready if someone had told me you were coming too." Dean said sheepishly as he made his way to the back of the truck and grabbed some of Piper's stuff.

Azi sighed at Pie, shaking her head from where she’d ended up standing up in the bed of the truck. She’d already set Pie’s stuff down in the yard, away from any cars and looked at the dogs before chuckling and shaking her head. Pied piper then, she thought as she shrugged and rolled up the straps she used to secure things. There was no real reason for her to stay, or so she thought as she watched Dean roll down the yard with the wave of dogs. Almost like surfing. Dog surfing, there’s a new sport, she thought as she chuckled to herself.
“You can take her things. I’ll just grab a motel room and head back tomorrow probably,” she said with a shrug as she turned back to storing her equipment in the toolbox on the back of her truck, shutting and locking it as she tossed her duffel down, away from Pie’s stuff to lock in the cabin of her truck. Once Azi was content with how her gear was stored, she headed towards the back of the truck, hopping down off the bed and closing the tailgate. Azi loved her truck to pieces, and it was a tough love. She smiled some and chuckled at the dogs, letting them smell her and lick her and greet her in their own way as she patted their heads, smiling slightly.
Shrugging a shoulder, she grabbed her bags and threw them in the cab of the truck, locking the door on it before she picked up a few of Pie’s things to help Dean bring it into the house. Azi already felt beyond out of place here, so she quieted down, not really saying much, except the occasional answer if she was asked a question. Once inside, she placed the bags down and sighed, looking at the cat carrier before picking it up and reaching in to pull Charlie out and set him on her shoulder. Azi was at least tall enough that she offered some security from the dogs and had a tendency to ignore the minor scratches the irate cat left on her as she stood back near the door.

"Don't worry about it, we've got plenty of space and the folks are out in New York anyways." Dean said as he followed her in. "Or at least let me take you out for some drinks after all the trouble that sister of mine has caused you. I reckon you probably could've fixed her car if you tried." He added with a glance at Piper arranging her guitars on an instrument rack.
Charlie mewed loudly then snuggled close to Azi's neck as he glared at the dogs below, who were still jumping about.
"So whaddaya say Azi?" Dean looked at her with a puppydog pleading face, arms open wide for a hug.

Azi sighed as she scratched Charlie’s head, letting the kitten nestle against her. She wasn’t the biggest fan of cats, but Charlie was an exception and special so she let him use her as a perch. She idly patted a few of the dog’s heads as she watched them mil around, tails wagging excitedly. She arched an eyebrow at Dean, giving him a contemplative look as she debated answering before shaking her head and smirking some. Since she knew what he wanted, she’d pretty much figured him and his sister out, but she wasn’t going to give him one since she still felt weird, so instead she picked up two of Piper’s bags and looped them over his arms.
She had a slight teasing smile on her lips at the action, close enough that if Dean looked down he’d be able to see it, but her eyes were covered by the brim of her at. In all honesty, she didn’t feel comfortable staying with them at their house. It was too…high class for her. Azi was from the wrong side of the tracks, so to speak. Barely passed high school, didn’t bother with college, and she was a tomboy rough and tumble girl. She didn’t match them in really any way, which was part of the reason that she didn’t let Dean take her on a ‘date’. Besides the sole fact she’d never been on one in her entire life and never been kissed until Dean stole one, but that was another story.
Azi shrugged a shoulder as she put Charlie on Dean’s shoulder, more or less amused by it and stepped back, reaching a hand up to tuck flyaway strands of loose hair under her cap and back into her braid as she eyed the living room area. “I’ll think about it,” was the answer she gave Dean, the same one she’d always given.

"Awww come on, my treat, and we can bring Pie along to drive." Dean said with a hopeful smile as the weight of the bags surprised him. For such a tiny person, Piper sure did pack a bit. "And I can show you the sights of Savannah too, it'll be fun!" Dean added. "Or at least use my hotel card for a nice place, I've got a frequent visitors thing from all the travel." Might as well try to be hospitable even if Azi wasn't going for the whole southern hospitality thing.
He flinched at the cat on his shoulder, Charlie had stuck his claws in Dean's shirt to hold on and decided that his semi-spikey hair was something worth playing with. "Kitty, if you bite me I'll feed you to Scotch!" he muttered at the cat, who just blinked at him. The husky mix perked his ears when he heard his name and barreled over, almost knocking the Dean off balance with the suitcases.
Piper just stood at the top of the stairs chuckling at the whole sight. "Drinks tonight sound fun," she pipped up before retreating to hide somewhere before Dean murdered her.

Azi snorted some, amused before she rescued the taller male from the poor kitten. “Y’know, he’s about the size of your hand and you act as if he’s a tiger,” she laughed before shrugging. She may as well play nice with them for the time being and humor them. Well, in her own way that was, she thought as she rolled her eyes at Piper’s voice. “Alright fine. If you can beat me in wrestling, we’ll do things your way. If not, I do it my way,” she teased, stepping back and cradling the kitten against her chest, ignoring the tiny pin pricks he left in her shirt and on her torso.
So Azi had grown up with eight brothers, something that she’d mentioned after the second fight at the truck stop against two guys that were bigger than she was and she’d won. Of course, it had helped they were drunk, but Azi wasn’t about to back down from anyone anywhere anytime. It wasn’t her nature and she’d refused to comment on the rest of her family, figuring it’d be a short time before anything she’d said was spouted out and became public knowledge thanks to Pie. Azi sighed and ran a hand under her cap, almost knocking it off momentarily before she fixed it again, picking up one of Pie’s bags.
“I’ll help you hand this off to Pie so she can put it away, so long as you’re leading,” she said, gesturing for Dean to go in front of her.

Wrestling? The last thing Dean's southern gentleman upbringing was to fight with a girl, unless of course it was roughhousing with his sisters, something often done when the Starrs were children. "I'm not scared of the little hairball, I'm the one who rescued him off the streets, but he does have teeth on him." Dean said with a sheepish chuckle. "Trust me, you can't miss Piper's room, it's got a pink door on it." He said with a laugh as he looked up to the top of the stairs. Piper was no where in sight. His electric blue eyes looked back at Azi and the bags dropped from his hands.
"Buttt... if you're going to offer a challenge..." he started with a smirk as his hand clasped around the handle of the bag in her hands, releasing it to the floor as well. "TICKLE ATTACK!" he called before starting to tickle her.

Her and her big mouth. Got her into a helluva lot of trouble and Azi just never knew when to quit. Dark eyes widened as she swore under her breath, the reaction immediate as she went to step back, but it was too late. Azi could be very, very, very ticklish if you hit just the right spot on her. And it just so happened Dean found it right away. She couldn't contain the peal of laughter that escaped out from her lips as she doubled over, trying to grab his hands and twist away from him, putting him at her back. She grabbed his hands firmly, or at least tried to, as she wiggled, biting down and trying not to let the sounds escape.
It was over before it had begun, Azrael simply deciding to 'tap out' of the fight. She opened her mouth, gasping for breath and trying to keep the giggles under wraps before speaking. "Alright, I give," she breathed out, her voice soft with the attempt to control everything. She wanted to try and get out of it, doubled over and trying to hold Dean's hands against her stomach, keeping him at her back.

"Well that was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Who'd have thought that tickling would subdue Miss Rough and Tumble Rockclimber?" Dean said with a teasing smile before stealing a peck on her cheek, mostly because he couldn't reach her lips for a surprise kiss too.
"Might as well explore scenic Savannah if you're going to be 'round these parts. Should we start with the drinks or a ghost hunt?" He asked as he picked up the bags and headed up the stairs. He paused for a moment. Ghost hunting while drunk would be a very interesting experience, but would it be a safe one? That was the question. "Hey Pieface! We're getting drinks tonight and you're driving! Consider it the punishment for your schemes!" He called as he reached the top of the stairs, dogs loyally following him, except for the golden mutt Gin who was curiously sniffing Azi.
