Sophie grew up a happy child. With her mother a teacher and her father a principal, education was always the number one priority in house. Her parents were both busy during the school year, leaving Sophie to entertain herself after her homework was done. Unfortunately for her, because her parents were viewed as the ‘enemy’ from most of her peers, Sophie didn’t have many friends. Her vivid imagination came in, and she began to entertain herself, sometimes forgetting when others were around. She seemed a bit crazy to some, but Sophie didn’t care. It was the only way she could get through the school years.
One of the best things that her parents ever did for her was enroll her in the local community theater. She began to take all the classes they offered and played bit roles in the productions. By the time she had hit high school she was a full fledge theater nerd. She went to college for theater and moved to California after graduation. She auditioned for some roles, and got a few bit parts in independent movies, but nothing seemed to work out. Starting to get depressed Sophie turned to the bottle to get through things, it was the only thing that eased her pain. Her parents were both retired at this point and live in Florida in a retired community, playing cards and shuffle board all day. Unable to find steady work, Sophie went back to school, got a master’s and is now teaching theater/performing arts for college students. She lives in a camper just off campus with her 7 cats.
